Materials Processing Position Opportunity

Report To: General Manager FLSA : Non-exempt Job Summary : Handling materials when cutting, shipping, and coating.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Forklift operation
  • Coating and finishing
  • Saw operation
  • Materials identification
  • Bead blasting
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in shipping and receiving
  • Keeping a neat and organized work area
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Minimum Experience and Education:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, or machine shop environment
  • Forklift certification is preferred
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good communication skills
  • Must possess ability to read a tape measure
  • Must be comfortable using hand tools

Physical Demands:
  • Standing and or walking a minimum of ten hours a day
  • Must be able to lift fifty pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to operate an overhead crane with or without accommodation
Work Environment:
  • Houma shop
  • Extreme hot and cold temperatures – warehouse
